The Town Hall and Clan Castle are placed centrally, forcing attackers to funnel through multiple compartments while your defenses keep firing on them from different angles, making a full 3-star much harder to pull off.
Compartmented defense →
Walls split the base into several sections, slowing down Giants, Wall Breakers and other ground troops so your Wizard Towers, Mortars and Cannons have more time to eliminate them before they reach the core.
Centralized Clan Castle troops →
The Clan Castle sits deep in the base, so defending troops inside it pull attackers into the heart of your defenses instead of getting sniped from the outside.

Watch your replays →
Check your defense log after every attack to see which side attackers enter from most often, then adjust traps and defenses around that area.
Protect your Air Defense →
TH6 only gives you 1 Air Defense, so don't place it where it can be reached and destroyed quickly. Keep it central and backed up with Air Bombs to hold off Dragon and Balloon attacks.
Fill your Clan Castle before defending →
An empty Clan Castle gives attackers a free path through the middle of your base. Always request troops from your clan so it's ready to ambush when someone attacks.
