How to get the most out of these TH5 layouts

  • Keep your Town Hall protected. At TH5, place your Town Hall inside your walls and use your defenses to make it harder for attackers to reach it.
  • Place defenses strategically. TH5 gives you a new Wizard Tower plus a third Archer Tower — spread your Cannons, Archer Towers, Mortar, Wizard Tower, and Air Defense around your base so attackers cannot destroy multiple defenses at once.
  • Protect your Gold and Elixir. You now have two Gold Storages and two Elixir Storages. Keep them inside the walls and position defenses nearby to make it harder for attackers to steal your resources.
  • Don't ignore air defense. TH5 unlocks the Air Bomb, your first trap built to punish flying troops. Spread Air Bombs and Wizard Tower coverage around likely Balloon paths so a single air raid can't clear your whole base.
  • Make good use of your Clan Castle. Keep your Clan Castle protected and request strong reinforcement troops to help defend your base against enemy attacks.
  • Build a balanced layout. A good TH5 base should protect your Town Hall, resources, and defensive buildings while using your 100 available wall pieces to create strong compartments and defensive coverage.
